Sum of addendum modifications

The sum of addendum modification can be specified several ways or result from:

1. Specification of the sum in the Editor
   (See sub-item "determining the addendum modification")
2. Specification of the main geometry values and the center distance
   + Specification of the allocation X₁X₂
   or
   + Specification of an addendum modification coefficient of the pinion or gear or corresponding test measurements

The division of the sum of the addendum modifications on Gear 1 & Gear 2 only achieves meaningful results when there remains an additional overlap of the involute flank areas based on these other parameters:

• Number of teeth
• Module
• Pressure angle
• Helix angle
• Center distance.

Furthermore, the tip circles should not be explicitly specified.
