Roughness influence factor

The roughness influence factor considers the effect that the fatigue strength tends to decrease as the surface roughness increases. The roughness influence factor provided here is weighted using the basic load cases (tension-compression, bending, torsion) combined with the roughness influence factors for normal stress and shear stress. The weighted superposition is based on the stress multiaxiality of the amplitude sensor. The roughness influencing factors for normal stress and shear stress are determined in accordance with DIN 743.
