The dynamic gear meshing stiffness is used in the eigenvalue calculation. For cylindrical gears, the dynamic meshing stiffness can automatically be determined according to Geiser (2002). An analytical load distribution is performed for 99% and 101% of the nominal load, from which a tangent stiffness is determined.
For stages not in the power flow, 20 N/(mm·µm) is assumed as the default value.
