The local service factor cB is considered in the shaft calculation in accordance with DIN 743 and the FKM Guideline. The nominal stresses at the relevant notch determined in the system calculation are multiplied by this factor. The service factor cB can be used to approximately account for a load level that changes over the operating time. The service factor is not used when determining the maximum stresses for the static calculation. If a local service factor is specified for a notch, the global service factor specified for the gear unit is ignored.
