The highly loaded surface is a parameter for quantifying the statistical size influence. Based on the statistical distribution of defects, the larger the highly loaded area, the greater the probability that such a defect will encounter a critical stress. For analytical notches (nominal), this is determined automatically using approximation formulae; for FE notches, it is determined by analyzing the stress distribution in the notch area.
