The single pitch deviation fp describes the displacement of any tooth from its theoretical position relative to the reference tooth, measured on or converted to the mean pitch circle diameter. The single pitch deviation influences the distribution of forces on the tooth pairs in mesh. Unless specified by the user, the single pitch deviation is determined internally by the program in accordance with the respective calculation rule based on the gear tooth quality.
If the tolerance calculation in accordance with ISO 17485 is activated and no single pitch deviation fp is specified, the single pitch tolerance fptT calculated in accordance with ISO 17485 is used.
