An FEM variation calculation can be carried out both without and with environment (shaft-bearing-system).
If the calculation target "Load distribution (FEM) - with environment" is selected, the load-related deformations of the shaft-bearing system are transferred to the STIRAK calculation kernel as tilting of the gears in mesh. In the variation calculation, the tilting in the tooth mesh is adjusted by linear scaling for each torque specified in the variation file.
In the case of highly non-linear bearing behavior, the shaft-bearing system should be represented in the variation calculation by specifying displacement polynomials.
The specification of a polynomial allows the consideration of any flank topography (x-y coordinate system) depending on different reference values. One possibility to use these polynomials is the specification of a load-dependent tilt as a function of the drive torque.
