The following options are available for the specification of modification widths over the flank lines:
- In mm or
- In % related to Lβ.
An example of the definition of the length of the left end relief lCl is shown below. The length of the end relief can be absolute in mm or as a percentage of the definition width Lβ. At maximum, this corresponds to the tooth width b, but it is often restricted by the contact field or specification of an individual defined range.
