In FVA 598, a TEHD (thermo-eleastohydrodynamic) simulation method is described for determining the local scuffing load capacity. FVA 598 provides modified equations for calculation of the mean coefficient of friction µm and the bulk temperature θM for modification of the scuffing according to ISO/TR 13989-1/2.
