Reliability factor

The reliability factor Y_Z accounts for the effect of the normal statistical distribution of failures found in materials testing.

The following values can be selected:

• Y_Z = 1.50 for fewer than one failure in 10000
• Y_Z = 1.25 for fewer than one failure in 1000
• Y_Z = 1.00 for fewer than one failure in 100
• Y_Z = 0.85 for fewer than one failure in 10
• Y_Z = 0.70 for fewer than one failure in 2
