The transverse load FQ is the component perpendicular to the bolt axis of a working load FB in any direction.
If transverse loads act, the minimum clamping force (R2) must be designed accordingly to ensure frictional locking. In addition, the safety against sliding and the shear stress (R12) are determined.
Transverse loads can only be specified if the load type contains a shear component. However, you also have the option of specifying "No transverse load" if a torsional moment acts for the shear component instead.
