STEP import

Executes the STEP import with CAD data.

The STEP interface requires preparation of the CAD data and compliance with the following conventions:

GEAR1 and GEAR2 must be aligned in the respective manufacturing coordinate system. The z-axis forms the axis of rotation and is aligned in the direction of the gear. The tip of the pitch cone lies in the coordinate origin.
The flanks and root areas on a common tooth must be labelled using a fixed nomenclature. The respective surfaces can also be made up of partial surfaces.
The surfaces of the tooth flank and tooth root must be divided by a dividing line.
The transition line between the tooth flank and tooth root as well as the tooth root base line can optionally be specified.
