The energy source used must be specified to determine the CO₂ emissions caused by energy use. The following options are available:
Electrical energy: The emission factor is considered based on the electricity mix of the specified country. The year in which the data was collected must be taken into account.
Fossil energy: A specific fossil energy source is selected in a separate input field. The corresponding emission factor is used automatically.
User-defined emission factor: Direct entry of a user-defined value to represent individual scenarios, project-specific specifications or newer data.
