Mesh stiffness

The mesh stiffness, c_γ, is the mean value for the stiffness of all teeth in a mesh. The mesh stiffness c_γ and the single stiffness c′ are values related to the tooth width. These values are used for calculation of the dynamic factor K_V. Furthermore, the mesh stiffness is used for calculation of the width and face load distribution factors.

Input options:

• No values specified, or use default values cγ = 20 N/(mm µm) and c′ = 14 N/(mm µm):
  The following approximate values are used as default values for the mesh stiffness and the single stiffness for calculation of c_γ and c′ according to the selected calculation rule:
  - c_γ0 = 20 N/(mm µm)
  - c₀′ = 14 N/(mm µm).
  The values for c_γ and c′ calculated in this way are used to determine the general load capacity factors.
• Specification of values that do not correspond to the default values specified above:
  The specified values are used as c_γ and c′ to determine the general load capacity factors.
