The geometry of the clamped parts describes the dimensions of the connected components and indirectly the type of force application.
The following options are available:
- Plates, here it is assumed that the force application is centric and the plates are large enough for the pressure cone to expand to the maximum (31°).
- Cylinder, here the force application is assumed to be centric. The component dimensions limit the formation of the pressure cone.
- Prismatic body, the force application and bolt pre tension here can be eccentric.
- Circular ring segment, the force application and bolt pre tensioning can be eccentric here. The circular ring segment is described by its inner and outer diameters, as well as a pitch circle diameter on which a specified number of bolts are distributed on the circle.
The selection automatically enables the clamping type Centric or Eccentric. Whereby plates and cylinders must always be calculated centrically. The prismatic body and the circular ring segment are methodically calculated eccentrically. If, however, the distance of the axial force a and the distance of the bolt axis ssym are set to 0, the case is more or less centric again.
