The definition of the bearing geometry requires the specification of a completely enclosed bearing via the segment start angle ϕA and the segment end angle ϕE. This means that the end angle of a segment must correspond to the start angle of the following segment. The position of the hydrostatic pockets is determined separately by the respective angle specifications.
The first segment must intersect or touch the origin; i.e., contain the angle 0°.
