The face load distribution factor KHβ for contact stress accounts for the effects of non-uniform load distribution over the face width.

The following options are available:

  1. Direct specification
    Direct specification, exclusively for the calculation acc. to ABS.

  2. Acc. to ABS
    If not specified, the face load distribution factor KHβ is calculated according to ABS.

    a.) If the helix deviation Fβ is not specified, the ISO grade of accuracy is used for the calculation along with the face and helix modifications.

    b.) If the helix deviation Fβ is specified, only the face and helix modifications are used.

  3. Acc. to ISO
    If the "Load factors from DIN/ISO" switch is activated, the value of the face load distribution factor KHβ is determined from an ISO 6336 calculation. The calculation method must be specified in the ISO section for the cylindrical stage.
