The relative depth of immersion e is relative to the outside diameter of the wheel de2 and indicates the immersion depth for immersion lubrication. This value is required to calculate the lubrication factor XS. The relative depth of immersion is preset to 0.2 by default.
The relative depth of immersion e is the ratio of the immersion depth ed (see figure) to the outside diameter of the wheel de2 :
e = ed/de2
Validity range: 0 < e ≤ 1.0 (For e = 1.0, the ring gear is fully immersed)
