By default, the external FE solver is carried out as part of the calculation. The corresponding settings are to be made under Tools->Settings.
However, if only the input file should be created and the calculation should then be carried out on a cluster (=another computing system), for example, the FE solver can be switched off. The input file is generated and stored in the folder to be specified via the settings. After the calculation, the user can use the result file of the external FE solver for postprocessing in the FVA Workbench again.
