Case 1 (applies for fixed segments):
The angular position of the center of curvature of the segment defines the position of the center of the segment radius. For bearings without steps at the transitions between the segments, the center of curvature is shifted by Δφ = 180° from the center of the segment.
Case 2 (applies for tilting pads):
The angular position of the center of curvature of the segment defines the position of the tilting pad supports.
