The "Consideration of driving direction" control variable can be used to consider the influence of the driving direction on the calculation of the path of contact.
- Standard calculation: Calculation of local dimensions on the path of contact in accordance with DIN 3991-1:2024 Annex A.4 (default value).
- Modified calculation: Consideration of the influence of the driving direction on the calculation of the path of contact. The "wheel drives pinion" direction is currently not considered correctly in localized methods. In this case, the "modified calculation" option can be selected to compensate for the influence of this drive direction.
