Numeric ID 227
Value Type PMDouble

The transverse load factor K considers the effect of uneven force distribution on multiple simultaneously engaged gear pairs.

The factor is defined as:

The ratio of the maximum force occurring in the engagement of a real pair of gears at a speed approaching 0 to the corresponding maximum tooth force of a deviation-free gear pair.

If the face load distribution factors are known from operational measurements or analyses, they can be entered by the user. Otherwise, they are calculated internally according to the calculation rules.
