The single pitch deviation describes the displacement of any tooth from its theoretical position relative to the reference tooth. These are measured on the mean pitch circle diameter or converted to it. The single pitch deviation influences the distribution of force to the tooth pairs that are in mesh. Without user input, the single pitch deviation is determined internally by the program in accordance with the respective calculation rule based on the gear tooth quality.
