The following calculation options are available:
There is no heat dissipation.
The input power at which no more power is available at the output due to losses is determined. If the input power completely covers the losses occurring in the gear unit, the efficiency is exactly 0.
Only one input is allowed for this calculation, an input power must be specified at the start of the calculation.
An iteration is performed to find the equilibrium between the power loss and heat dissipation, i.e. the steady-state operating point at a specified input or output power.
To limit this calculation to the temperature range, the maximum allowed oil and ambient temperatures must be specified.
The heat output and maximum input power are determined for a specified oil temperature at which a state of equilibrium is reached. It is always the load (torque) and not the speed that is changed.
As with the drag torque calculation option, only a single input is allowed.
This calculation option determines the power difference between heat dissipation and power loss at a specified temperature. Therefore, it can be used for the design of a cooler, for example.
