Selection for the used stiffness of a shaft. The following selection options are available:
- Analytical modeling using a Timoshenko beam (default).
- An imported CAD geometry with subsequent internal FEM meshing. For the connection to the analytical shaft-bearing-gearing system, see the step-by-step procedure further down in the tab. The FEM component is then taken into account in the system calculation by means of a reduced stiffness matrix.
- The shaft can also be modeled internally. The parameterization is done via the inputs in the shaft contour and the notches. The 3D view shows the current modeling status. The FEM meshing is then carried out (as is the further connection analogous to the imported CAD geometry) via the step-by-step procedure further down in the tab.
