The face load distribution factor KHβ for contact stress accounts for the effects of non-uniform load distribution across the face width.

The following options are available:

  1. Direct specification
    Direct specification, exclusively for calculation acc. to ABS.

  2. acc. to ABS
    If not specified, the face load distribution factor KHβ is calculated according to ABS.

    a. without additional specification of the helix deviation Fβ, the ISO Grade of accuracy and the face and helix modifications will be used

    b. with direct specified helix deviation Fβ only the face and helix modifications will be used

  3. acc. to ISO
    If the switch "Load factor acc DIN/ISO" is activated, the value of the face load distribution factor KHβ is determined from a calculation according to ISO 6336. The kind of calculation has to be specified at the ISO sheet of the cylindrical stage.
