The sliding frictional constant dependent on speed µ_bl affects the calculated sliding friction coefficient µ_sl and hence the sliding frictional moment according to the SKF method.
SKF suggests µ_bl=0.12 for n>0 and µ_bl=0.15 for n=0 (starting torque calculation).
In FVA 364 IV and FVA 364 VII an adjusted value of µ_bl=0.05 was suggested which shows a much better correlation to measurement data for bearings which were run in.
