The load distribution factor considers the uneven load distribution along the path of contact due to:

• Manufacturing and assembly tolerances
• Deformations under load
• Thermal deformations and deformations due to centrifugal forces

It is used for flank and root calculations.

Alternatively, the values:

• Curve number for determining K_Hma
• Mesh correction factor K_Hme
• Pinion-bearing characteristic value K_Hpm

can be specified.
