The permissible assembly preload F_Mzul can be read out for a selected bolt from tables of VDI 2230 (tables A1, A2, A3, A4) with an utilization factor v of 0.9 of the minimum yield strength R_p0.2min or calculated directly (R7) with any specification of the utilization factor.
