Data type of tooth profile parameters

For calculation of the gear dimensions, initial data are required for description of the tooth profile. These data can be specified either according to data type I (according to European standards) or data type II (according to AGMA). The data types I and II can be converted into each other.

• Data type I:
  • Profile shift coefficient x_hm1
  • Basic crown gear addendum factor k_hap2
  • Basic crown gear dedendum factor k_hfp2
  • Thickness modification coefficient x_smn
• Data type II:
  • Mean addendum factor of wheel c_ham
  • Depth factor k_d
  • Clearance factor k_c
  • Thickness factor k_t or wheel mean slot width W_m2
