Influencing factor for permissible contact stress

Additional Z-factors for determining the permissible contact stress according to ISO 10300 (2014) can be specified via the user-specific influencing factors Z₁ to Z₅. Several factors are available for consideration of various influences (e.g., hardening depth, shot peening) in the determination of the tooth flank load capacity. In the determination of the safety factor, these factors are multiplied by the permissible flank load. Values greater than one thus increase the calculated safety factor. These factors are set to 1.0 by default.
