Axial clearance

For couplings and shaft-hub connections, a radial and axial play can be specified at the same time as the stiffness. If the misalignment is smaller than the specified clearance, no force is transmitted in the relevant direction at this point. The transfer of tilting moments only takes place if a force is transferred in at least one of the two force directions.

Note: The specification of clearances can lead to an extension of the calculation time and to problems with the convergence of the overall system calculation.
