Pressure viscosity coefficient at tooth temperature

The following options are available:

• Direct specification
  Direct specification, e.g. from measurement or experience. It is important that the pressure-viscosity coefficient at the tooth temperature is specified here.
  
  
• determined from parameters k and s
  Parameters k and s for determination of α according to equation 74 can be directly specified here. The determination is performed based on the calculated tooth temperature θ_M.
  
  
• determined from lubricant type
  Parameters k and s for the specified lubricant types cam be taken from Table 2. The determination is performed based on the calculated tooth temperature θ_M.
  
  

The pressure-viscosity coefficient is used to determine the lubricating film thickness present in the engagement.
