The following selection options are available for the casing behavior in the bearing clearance calculation:
Elastic casing: In this case, a material must be specified. The elastic and thermal deformations of the bearing seats in the casing are calculated using the modulus of elasticity and the coefficient of thermal expansion of the material.
Stiff casing: No elastic deformations of the bearing seat in the casing are considered. The thermal deformation of the bearing seat is calculated using the expansion coefficient of steel α = 11 * 10-6 K-1.
