Configure contact pattern calculation

The main resolution variables for the contact pattern calculation as well as all subsequent local load capacity calculations are:

• The number of sections across the face width, which determines the division of the tooth width into sections of constant width.
• The number of engagement positions, which correlates with the number of load lines that are calculated.

Consequently, these quantities determine the number of points to be calculated in the mesh and influence the results of the local load capacity.

The number of tooth pairs considered and the deformation limit should only be adjusted in certain cases (see the respective attribute help entries). Deactivation of the "Consideration of early engagement" is not recommended.

The transmission error unit and the maximum distance from flank contact to be displayed are only relevant for the report output and do not influence the contact pattern calculation.
